PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project was done in collaboration with a fellow architect and colleague Harvey Beltre Coss. The challenge presented with this design was to make the space feel warm and cozy. We had the advantage of working with a completely empty space making it easier to convey what the client wanted. The use of natural foliage adds to the tropical sense of the space, wood ceiling and clay floor create a sense of warmth and comfort. A trellis is used on the top openings to let the space breath and minimize the direct sunlight and wind gusts.
